NOSSO PRODUTO
Wholesale Jigsaw Puzzles by Piece Count and Format
Six formats cover most wholesale programmes. Piece count drives board grade, box size, print cost and who the puzzle is sold to.

1,500–2,000 Piece Collector Puzzles
Sold as a project, not an afternoon. These need a stiffer board, tighter cutting tolerance and a box that survives months in storage. Above 1,000 pieces the risk of a missing piece rises sharply, so piece-count verification before bagging is the specification to insist on.

Quebra-cabeça de 1000 peças
The standard adult format most retail ranges are built around. A typical unit finishes near 700 × 500 mm on a 2 mm board and takes eight to twenty hours. Artwork carries more weight here than anywhere else — large areas of sky or water make the same piece count feel far harder.

500-Piece Puzzles
The entry point for casual adults and family ranges. Roughly four to eight hours to finish, so it sells as a weekend project rather than a commitment. Also the most forgiving format for a first private-label run, because board, print and packaging costs stay moderate.

Children's Puzzles & Floor Puzzles — 24 to 100 Pieces
Thick board, large pieces, rounded edges and high-contrast artwork for ages three to eight. Standard counts are 24, 36, 48 and 100. This is the range where compliance matters most: small-part limits, ink and coating checks, and correct age labelling on the box.

Seasonal, Educational & Promotional Puzzles
Christmas, Halloween, animal, map and colour-it-yourself designs are bought against a calendar date, so sampling and production are scheduled backwards from the selling window. These usually run on existing die layouts to avoid tooling cost, with private-label artwork, boxes and inserts.

Quebra-cabeças de madeira 3D
Laser-cut wooden puzzles and buildable 3D models sit in the gift and display segment. Pieces are thicker, shapes can follow the artwork instead of a fixed grid, and finished units stand rather than store flat. Unit cost and MOQ run higher, and laser cutting needs its own artwork preparation.

MARCAÇÃO
How a Custom Puzzle Order Is Specified
Five decisions define the order. Lock them before you request a price and quotes from different factories become genuinely comparable.
Print Method and Artwork
Offset printing gives stable colour and a lower unit cost at volume; digital suits short runs, sampling and designs that change often. Supply files at 300 dpi in CMYK with 3 mm bleed. Low resolution, RGB colour and missing bleed cause most disappointing first samples.
Piece Count and Cut Pattern
Existing die layouts cover the standard counts and avoid tooling charges. A custom cut — random cut, themed silhouettes, pieces shaped to the artwork — makes the product distinctive but adds die cost, and thin sections have to be reviewed before the die is made.
Board and Material
Most puzzles are printed paper mounted on greyboard, typically 1.2–2.5 mm, with 2 mm the common choice at 1,000 pieces. Thicker board resists bending and edge wear but raises material and freight cost. Wooden and FSC-certified boards are available where the market requires them.
Surface Finish
Lamination or varnish protects the print and slows moisture absorption, the main cause of warped pieces. Gloss gives colour punch, matte and linen finishes cut glare while assembling, and spot UV or foil works for logos and premium box designs.
Packaging and Private Label
Lid-and-base rigid boxes, drawer boxes, tins, tubes and mailers each change unit cost and carton volume. Retail and FBA programmes also need barcodes, age and warning labelling, inserts, posters and carton markings agreed before production, not after.

Choose the Piece Count from the Person Finishing It
Piece count is a sourcing decision, not a number copied off a competitor’s box. Three questions settle it before you ask for a quote. Who completes it — children aged 4–6 generally manage 24–48 pieces, 6–8 year-olds 100–200, adults 500–1,000. How long should it take — around 4–8 hours for 500 pieces, 8–20 hours for 1,000, and 25 hours or more for 2,000. How hard is the image — a 500-piece puzzle of empty sky is harder than a 1,000-piece street scene, because difficulty comes from the artwork as much as the count. Answer those three and the piece count, board grade and box size usually follow without a second round of samples.

Frequently Asked Questions About Wholesale Jigsaw Puzzles
How do you stop loose pieces, paper dust and missing pieces? These three generate most returns. Ask any factory how it checks interlocking tolerance, how dust is removed after die-cutting, and how piece count is verified — weight checks alone are unreliable at high piece counts, because board weight shifts with humidity. We write these checks into the inspection plan and inspect finished goods before shipment.
What artwork do you need, and will the print match my file? 300 dpi or higher, CMYK, 3 mm bleed, fonts outlined. Offset and digital printing will not match a screen, and board colour and lamination shift the result. Approve a physical sample rather than a PDF proof, and keep it as the reference for every reorder.
Cardboard, wood or something else? Greyboard puzzles cover most volume and price points. Wooden puzzles suit gift and display ranges at a higher unit cost. Recycled or FSC-certified board is specified where the retailer or market requires it. Choose by sales channel and price point first, then by how the puzzle will be handled.
Which certifications can you support? We review available factory documentation for EN 71, ASTM F963, CPSIA, CPC and FSC, and can coordinate testing with accredited laboratories when new reports are needed. A certificate has to name the actual product and destination market — a report written for a different item gives you no cover.
What is the MOQ, price and lead time for custom puzzles? Most puzzle factories start at 300–500 sets per design for OEM artwork; stock designs can usually be ordered in smaller, mixed quantities. Physical samples typically take 5–7 days and bulk production 15–25 days, longer for complex finishes or peak season. Unit cost is driven by board thickness, finished size, piece count, print method, surface finish, packaging and quantity per design. Send those seven details and we will compare 3–5 factories and come back with a landed figure.
