Who we are

TonySourcing is a sourcing office. We do not own a factory, and we are not a trading company. Our RC team sits in Chenghai, Shantou — the district that moulds, assembles and packs most of China’s remote control toys.

We work from a network of 1,000+ factories and place RC programs for importers, wholesale distributors and Amazon sellers. We will not send you the whole list. We send three to five factories that actually fit your price, your quantity and your certification market, with FOB quotes, in three working days.

We quote the factory price and charge our service separately, so you can see what the goods cost. If a factory cannot hit your spec, we say so before you pay a deposit. A bad first container costs both of us more than a lost order.

UNSER PRODUKT

Wholesale RC Toys

Eight categories, one container. Typical FOB shown for 500–1,000 pcs; carton figures are per export carton.

4WD Offroad

RC Off-Road and Climbing Trucks

1:10 to 1:16, 4WD, proportional 2.4GHz steering, 25–35 km/h, 7.4V 1,200 mAh, 18–22 min run time, 40–50 m range. The volume driver on Amazon US and EU — buyers compete on whether it climbs stairs, not on top speed.

RC Drift Car

RC Drift and Stunt Cars

1:16 to 1:24, 2WD, side-slide drift and double-sided flip, 15–20 km/h, 3.7V 500 mAh, USB charge. Sells at an impulse price under USD 25 retail. Highest unit volume in the category, thinnest margin — order it to fill cartons, not to carry the program.

RC Construction Vehicles

Excavator, dump truck, crane, bulldozer. 1:14 to 1:20, 6–9 channel, working bucket or arm, 2.4GHz, 7.4V. The highest average order value in RC, and the steadiest seller — it does not depend on a trend or a film.

RC Aircraft and Gliders

Foam planes, EPP gliders, 3.5-channel helicopters, mini drones. 15–25 min flight, 6-axis gyro on the helicopters. Certification is heavier here — RED and FCC are not optional, and drones can pull in extra rules depending on weight and camera.

RC Boats

1:16 to 1:24, water-cooled motor, 15–25 km/h, 7.4V, self-righting hull. Strongly seasonal: EU and US buyers want stock on the water by April, which means production booked in February.

RC-Spielzeugroboter

RC Robots and Interactive Toys

Gesture control, programmable sequences, dancing and voice. 2.4GHz or IR, 6-axis. Gift channel rather than toy aisle. Watch the app-dependent models — anything that needs a working app in three years carries a return risk you cannot inspect for.

Preschool RC

Toddler and Preschool RC

2-button, 2-channel, soft body, rounded edges, 3.7V 300 mAh, around 10 km/h. Age grading 18M+ or 3+, which brings small-parts and drop-test rules that the hobby-grade line never sees. Lower price, heavier compliance.

RC Fliegender Fisch

Novelty and Flying Toys

Flying fish, bubble crab, flying motorcycle, induction balloons. IR or 1-channel, 10–15 min, USB charge, USD 1.20–3.80 FOB. Impulse items with a two-to-three season life and the highest percentage margin in the range. Good for testing a new market. Not a program.

Four things you can check before you buy

- 1,000+ factories, filtered to five.

You brief us once. We screen for the certification market you sell into, the price point you need and the quantity you can commit, then hand you a shortlist with quotes. You do not manage eleven suppliers across three provinces to fill one container.

- MOQ from 80 pcs, and the number is real.

80 pcs for a stock colour, 200 for a custom colour or your logo, 500 if the mould has to change. You can mix categories inside one container, so a first order can be eight styles at 80 pcs each instead of one style at 640.

- Three battery configurations, documents in hand.

Built-in, removable, or body-only. UN38.3 test summaries and MSDS are held per battery model and matched to the cell actually fitted in your production run — not to a reference sample from two years ago.

- The full RC compliance stack, not just EN71.

EN71-1/2/3, EN62115, EMC, RED, FCC Part 15, ASTM F963, CPSIA, plus PAH testing on the rubber tires. We send the certificate pack before you order, not after.

Batteries and shipping: the part that stops most RC orders

Almost every RC toy has a lithium cell in it, and that single fact decides your freight cost, your Amazon listing, and whether your container gets rejected at the port. We treat it as a spec line, not a footnote.

Built-in battery. Lowest unit cost, no separate battery SKU to manage, ships as battery contained in equipment. The trade-off: when the cell dies, the toy is scrap, and that is a return.

Removable battery. Roughly USD 0.30–0.60 more per unit at the factory. Buys you two things — you can sell spare batteries as an add-on (typically USD 1.50–3.00 retail, and the highest-attach accessory in RC), and a dead cell becomes a USD 4 replacement instead of a full refund. The compartment must be screw-fixed for 3+ age grading.

Body only, no battery. For markets where lithium import is restricted, for FBA sellers who want to clear hazmat review faster, and for buyers who already source 14500 or 18650 cells locally. Removes the dangerous goods surcharge entirely — on a 0.11 CBM carton shipped by air, that is not a rounding error.

What we hold on file. UN38.3 test summary, MSDS, 1.2 m drop test, 55 °C and 12.5 kPa results, and the packing instruction the forwarder will ask for. Three details buyers get wrong: the report must match the exact cell and pack you ship, it must be issued for the capacity you actually use, and the label on the carton must match the report. A mismatch is the fastest way to have a shipment held.

Air or sea. Most toy RC sits under the PI967 Section II limits, so air freight is possible. Sea freight still needs a Class 9 declaration for UN3481, and the forwarder has to be briefed before booking, not after. We tell you which mode your configuration allows before you commit to a delivery date.

What comes with the goods

RC is a heavier certification category than plush or pretend play, because the toy is electric and it transmits. A page that only lists EN71 has not shipped RC.

European Union. EN71-1/2/3 for mechanical, flammability and migration. EN62115 for electric toy safety. EMC for the electronics. RED 2014/53/EU, because a 2.4GHz controller is a radio transmitter. RoHS, REACH, PAH on the rubber tires, and the EU Battery Regulation.

United States. ASTM F963, CPSIA for lead and phthalates, FCC Part 15 for the transmitter, and California Prop 65 if you sell into that channel.

Battery. UN38.3, MSDS, and IEC 62133 cell safety — the last one is increasingly requested by EU retail buyers even where it is not mandatory.

One thing worth knowing. “CE certified” is not a test. CE is a declaration you sign; the tests behind it are the EN standards above. If a supplier answers “yes, CE” and cannot name EN62115 and the RED report, they have not done the work. Budget USD 400–1,200 per SKU for the full RC set, and re-test if you change factory, cell or motor.

Customize the range with your brand

Four things you can change. Most buyers change two.

  • Mould and structure. Modify an existing body or build a new one. New tooling typically takes 25–40 days and costs USD 1,500–4,000 depending on size and cavity count.
  • Colour and livery. Pantone matching on the body and the controller, not “close to”. For licensed-looking sports cars, we check the design registration before sampling — unlicensed copies of branded vehicles are the single most common reason RC shipments get seized at customs.
  • Branding. Pad printing, UV printing, laser engraving, heat transfer, decals, and a branded controller. We will tell you which one survives being dropped on concrete, because that is what happens to it.
  • Packaging. Window box, display carton, gift box, or an Amazon-ready FBA carton with FNSKU labels, poly bagging and the battery warning label in the right position.

How to choose. Selling on Amazon? Start with a stock mould plus UV print and a removable battery — cheapest way to test a design, and the spare battery gives you a second SKU on the same listing. Selling to retail chains? Tooling pays back at around 5,000 pcs, so build the mould into your first order and own the shape.

How an order runs, start to finish

  1. Brief. You send category, scale, target price, quantity and destination market.
  1. Shortlist. Three to five factories with FOB quotes in three working days.
  1. Artwork and mock-up. Your logo on a dieline mock-up, plus the battery configuration and packing instruction written down.
  1. Sampling. 7 days. Two to three pcs, shipped to you. Test the run time yourself — that is the number buyers get wrong most often.
  1. Sample approval. We lock sample, colour, packaging and battery spec in writing. That document becomes the inspection standard.
  1. Bulk production. 25–35 days, with weekly photo updates from the line.
  1. Inspection. 10% AQL 2.5 before loading, including a charge-and-run test on a sample from each batch and a small-parts count.
  1. Shipping. FOB Shantou or Ningbo, or DDP to your Amazon FBA warehouse, with the battery documentation attached to the booking.

Häufig gestellte Fragen

Was ist Ihr MOQ?

80 pcs per style for a stock colour, 200 pcs for a custom colour or your logo, 500 pcs if the mould has to change. You can mix styles and categories inside one container, so eight styles at 80 pcs is a normal first order.

Can you ship RC toys by air with the battery installed?

Usually yes. Most toy RC sits under the PI967 Section II limits, so it can fly with the battery contained in the equipment, provided the UN38.3 summary, MSDS and packing instruction are correct and match the cell actually fitted. We confirm this per SKU before you book freight, because getting it wrong at the airport is expensive.

Is the speed on the box real?

Often not — box claims run 30–40% above reality. We test on GPS at full charge on flat asphalt and give you that number, plus the run time. If your listing says 30 km/h and the toy does 22, the reviews will say so, and that is a returns problem you bought with the container.

Which scale should I stock?

1:16 4WD for volume, 1:10 for hobby margin, 1:24 for impulse price points. Most buyers run all three: 1:24 to fill cartons cheaply, 1:16 to carry the category, 1:10 to lift the average order value.

How are spare parts handled?

2% of order value in free spares — tires, gear sets, battery, controller — plus paid spares at cost if you want a buffer. RC without spares is a refund waiting to happen; the parts cost almost nothing and the freight is already paid.

Which certificates come with the goods?

EN71-1/2/3, EN62115, EMC, RED, FCC, ASTM F963, CPSIA and PAH reports, plus UN38.3 and MSDS for the battery. Reports are issued in your company name where the lab allows it, and we send the full pack before you place the order.

What about licensed designs and IP?

We screen the design registration before sampling. Bodies that copy a branded vehicle without a licence are the most common cause of RC seizures, and the loss lands on the importer. If you want a licensed look, we will tell you which shapes are safe and which are not.

Can I get samples before ordering?

Yes — two to three pcs, paid, shipped in 7 days. Test them the way your customer will: charge fully, run it flat, drop it once. That is a more useful signal than any spec sheet.

How long does production take, and how do I pay?

Samples in 7 days, bulk in 25–35 days after sample approval, plus sea freight. 30% deposit to start, balance against the inspection report. T/T, and Alibaba Trade Assurance if you prefer to order through the platform.

Do you work with new Amazon sellers or only established importers?

Both, and the 80 pcs MOQ exists for the first group. We would rather place a small, correct order than a large, wrong one — the second one ends the relationship.
