How We Produce Mugs

Raw material preparation: The main raw materials are ceramic clays (like kaolin) or glass materials. For ceramic mugs, screen and remove impurities from the clay, getting rid of large particles to ensure raw material purity and uniformity.

Slip casting (common in ceramics): Pour the prepared ceramic slip into a gypsum mold. a clay layer of proper thickness forms on the mold’s inner wall. Once it reaches the right thickness, pour out the extra slip. Then, let the mold rest for a while . Finally, open the mold and remove the formed green body.

Preliminary trimming: Conduct preliminary trimming on the formed green body (for ceramics) or product (for glass), removing the excess parts, such as the slip casting hole after slip casting and the excess clay at the bottom after slip forming. Meanwhile, carry out a simple grinding on the surface to make it smoother and flatter.
